Description
This early 1868 Bridge Patent demonstrates the use of trusses to adequately handle the expected load on the bridge. The application of trusses in a triangular manor allowed the horizontal roadbed to handle more load efficiently Many older truss style bridges still exist. Trusses are widely used in other types of construction were load-bearing capacities must be optimized.
This historical patent was restored for wall display. The image and text are in deep brown over a textured distressed and gridded background of warm tones.
