Jesse Bunnell was awarded a patent for his invention of the telegraph key in 1881. I guess you could say he was responsible for the first text messages, but they were in dots and dashes known as Morse Code and had to be transcribed to understand...about like autocorrect on smart phones. At any rate, this is a great historical piece. This fully restored patent is white and placed over a distressed black background. It is a great piece for any wall.
