The I-55 Bridge runs west across the Mighty Mississippi River, connecting Tennessee to Arkansas. This the largest river in the world is famous for its transportation of cotton and other goods south to New Orleans. It is the thing of legends and stories, some of the most famous the work of Samuel Clemens, better know as Mark Twain, which he borrowed as a pen name from the depth marking made by Riverboats in his time. Huck Finn. Tom Sawyer and Big Jim are some of his unforgettable characters, that made every kid want to build a raft and pole the Mississippi.
